This policy describes how PolyWise (“PolyWise,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use getpolywise.com and the PolyWise iOS app (together, the “service”). PolyWise is based in North Carolina, United States.

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you create an account, join a waitlist, or contact us, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, business location (city, county, or state), industry, and notification preferences. We use location and industry to decide which policy alerts are relevant to you.

App and device data. When you use the iOS app, we may collect device type, operating system, app version, and push notification tokens so we can deliver alerts and keep the app working.

Website analytics. The marketing site uses Vercel Web Analytics. That tool records page views and coarse technical data such as referring site, browser, operating system, device type, and country or region. It does not use advertising cookies and does not build a profile of you for ads. See Vercel’s analytics privacy policy.

Information we do not seek. We do not ask for payment card numbers on the marketing site today. If we add paid plans later, a payment processor will handle card data, and we will update this policy.

Provide policy alerts tailored to your location and industry
Operate, secure, and improve the website and app
Send service messages, and product updates you opt into
Respond to questions and support requests
Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service

Alerts are informational summaries. They are not legal, tax, or compliance advice.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in these cases:

Service providers that host the site, send email or push notifications, or provide analytics, and only so they can perform those services for us
Legal and safety when we believe disclosure is required by law, or needed to protect PolyWise, our users, or others
Business transfers if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize, in which case the recipient will be bound by this policy or we will notify you of material changes

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterward to handle support, security, and legal obligations. Analytics data is kept in aggregated or de-identified form where practical.

Your choices

Update location, industry, and notification settings in the app when those controls are available
Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the message
Turn off push notifications in iOS Settings
Ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@getpolywise.com

If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights to know, delete, or opt out of certain sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. Email us and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.

Children

The service is for small business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International users

We operate from the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice, such as an email or an in-app message.
